Workshops
I am always being asked by people over social media if they can come on a walk with me, to see what I see and to capture some of the wonderful scenes. So now you can.
I am offering a range of workshops which are aimed at helping everyone improve their photography skills and understanding of digital cameras and processing.
I will be offering a wide range of locations, with many different types of landscape/seascape/wildlife to shoot, but all will be located in and around the local area. I have provided a list below, which is by no means exhaustive, but provides a guide.
The workshops will be short, on average they will be approximately 3 hours, which gives enough time to get focused on what we are trying to achieve and go over any questions raised.
The workshop will cover all the relevant aspects of photography, for example:
• Composition
• Understanding your camera
• How to fool your equipment
• How to improve your picture quality
• Different shooting techniques
• Processing tips
The groups will be kept small, limited to 4 people, to ensure everyone get some focused attention and their questions answered. It also allows a social side to the sessions, meeting up with other like-minded photographers and sharing information and questions together.
In addition to the workshops, I am also offering 1-2-1 tuition sessions. This will vary depending on what you are looking to learn and focus on, but will either be a half day, or full day in length.
A list of potential workshop locations is as follows:
• Christchurch Harbour
• Mudeford quay
• Hengistbury Head
• Hurst Castle
• Keyhaven Quay/Lake
• Hatchet pond
• Lymington quay
• Lymington riverhead
• Lymington to Keyhaven Nature reserve
• Ibsley & Rockford common
• Lepe
If you have a location you'd like to visit, do let me know. You won't be the only one who wants to go there.
The types of photography we will cover together will include:
• Landscape/Seascape
• Sunrise/sunset
• Sailing
• Local wildlife: Ponies/Donkeys/Foals/Cattle
• Lepe
• Long exposure
• Full moon/Moon rise
More detail on each workshop will follow. If you’re interested in any of these workshops, please drop me a note and register your interest.
All of the workshops will be charged at £45 pp while the 1-2-1 will be £150 per day.
