End of the day with the boats on HIve Beach

A lovely sunset developed tonight with the sky getting a deeper and deeper blue, the high level clouds lighting up golden and then going into dusky pinks. It was lovely.

I was down at Hive Beach and after trying a few different angles and viewpoints, decided asto use the local fishing boats as the foreground. Using a Lee hard grad 0.6 filter to allow some detail in the foreground, the sky and its colours set the boats off wonderfully, with the light reflected off the water and the boats themselves.

As time went by the clouds dispersed and the colours faded, leaving a golden band along the horizon for some time after sunset.
